3-Ingredient Homemade Fruit Roll-Ups

I've wanted to try making homemade fruit roll-ups for a while now since my daughters love them. They were actually pretty easy, you just have to be patient because they take several hours to set in the oven.

The recipes I found were all a little different, especially the cooking times. My fruit roll-ups were a bit thicker, so they took longer.

Here's how I made homemade fruit roll-ups that my kids loved.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs fresh or thawed frozen fruit. I used blueberries and strawberries.

  • 1/4 cup sugar (I used coconut sugar). You don't have to add any sugar.

  • 2 T. fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  • Puree fresh (or thawed frozen) berries with a blender, fruit processor or immersion blender. I used an immersion blender and did strawberries and blueberries.

  • I added 1/4 cup coconut sugar and then a couple tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

  • I boiled the mixture for about 10 minutes

  • Poured the mixture onto silpat mats (or you can use parchment paper) in an even layer

  • Placed into a 180 degree oven for about 3-6 hours. THis is where you just have to check on it and see if yours is set and can be peeled off the mat.

  • Turn off the oven but keep the fruit in the oven for another hour.

  • Remove from oven and sit on counter until completely cool.

  • Use a pizza cutter to cut into strips.

  • Cut parchment paper in long strips.

  • Roll up the fruit in the parchment paper.

  • Enjoy!
