The most succulent Brussels sprouts that even the kids will love…at least mine did, and they are 9 and 4 years old!
Slightly sweet, savory and crisp, these Brussels sprouts are easy and pretty quick to make.
Equipment needed:
-air fryer (an oven will work too)
Ingredients:
-Brussels sprouts—I used one standard bag of pre-washed Brussels sprouts for my family of 4 and have some leftovers (which were eaten)
-2-3 slices bacon
-extra virgin olive oil
-maple syrup
-salt
-pepper
Instructions:
Cut the ends off the sprouts and in half. Lay them on a baking sheet. Cut the bacon into pieces (I use scissors) and spread on the sprouts. Drizzle olive oil and about 2 tablespoons of maple syrup on the sprouts, along with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Place in a 400 degree air fryer or oven for about 20 minutes, and voila! Succulent, sweet and savory Brussels sprouts that make for a delicious side dish to impress your family or bring over to your next dinner party.
